Erika Lessing is cum laude graduate of Gonzaga School of Law in Spokane, Washington. During law school she was
a member of Gonzaga’s Moot Court and participated in the 2003 Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court competition in San Francisco
which annually focuses on matters of intellectual property law. During law school she volunteered her time in the
University Legal Assistance Clinic where she assisted people of the Spokane community with immigration and Social
Security issues for no charge. Also during law school she was a member of the Intellectual Property Club and a board
member of the Women’s Law Caucus which focused on issues involving women in the law.
Prior to law school, Ms. Lessing attended Idaho State University where she graduated with highest honors matriculating
with a double major in German Studies and English Literature & Composition. She was a member of several honor and other
societies including Mortar Board National Honor Society, where she was a board member, Golden Key Honor Society, and
Delta Epsilon Iota. She frequently participated in community service projects including environmental clean-ups,
mentoring of high school students, annual fund raising for Thanksgiving dinners for families, and tutoring of fellow
students.
Licensed in 2003, Ms. Lessing is a current member of the Idaho State Bar and prior to coming to work for E.W. Pike & Associates,
Ms. Lessing worked for two well-known insurance defense firms in the State of Idaho and a small boutique firm which
specialized in immigration law. Her current practice areas include: business law, with an emphasis on creditor’s rights
and banking issues, property law, including landlord & tenant law, bankruptcy, and general litigation.
When she is not working she enjoys swimming, snowmobiling, photography, piano, foreign films, travel, watercolor,
jewelry making, chess, teaching community education courses, volunteering for CASA, and spending time with her husband
and young daughter.
